China Fisheries & Seafood Expo 2012

China Fisheries & Seafood Expo (www.chinaseafoodexpo.com) is one of the largest seafood trade shows in Asia, with 19,000 industry buyers participating from China and over 70 other countries featuring 742 exhibiting companies from 35 countries last year.

The Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation will be leading a BC seafood delegation to participate in the China Fisheries and Seafood Expo in Dalian, China Nov 6-8 followed by an outreach program in the region. The BC booth at the China Fisheries & Seafood Expo offers complimentary exhibit and meeting spaces, as well as a full range of trade and investment promotion programs such as networking events and business matching meetings to help connect BC companies with pre-qualified buyers, distributors, processors and partners from China and other markets.

Objectives of the mission are:

· To showcase and promote British Columbia as a rich source of high-quality fish and seafood to seafood buyers and distributors in the greater China region.

· To introduce new BC seafood products into the China market.

· To increase BC seafood exports to the China market.
